1086 - Armthorpe was held by Earnwine of Roger de Busli. Hervey II  (Walter) b. Clare, Suffolk. b. 1085/1097, d. 1145. Held lands in Lancashire. Married Helwise. Hervey II. Held in Skelbrooke, Fryston and Hillam, Cridling Stubbs.  
  Hervey /Henry III (Walter). Held in Suffolk,  West Dereham, Norfolk and Weeton, Lancs. b ~ 1130, d. 1189/1192 or >1206.7 Married Maud de Valoignes 1. Hervey/Henricus. Liv 1144x 1160, ~ 1154. Held in 'Friston' and Hillam and possibly Darrington.6 Helped to kill William Maltravers, lord of Pontefract. Possibly married Cecily de Colton, their son was a Thomas.5

1215 - lost Armthorpe to King John's son, by 1315 the abbot of Roche was lord of Armthorpe.8

    Heiress of Skelbrooke and Little Haseley etc. Oxon. Liv 1160s Daughter of Hervey or Hervey's son Robert (Farrer). Married Oliver Haget, div. 1200, who d. 1208.
      Olive Haget [FitzOliver ] married  William I de Brugges of Little Haseley etc.
Richard le Boteler of Kirk Sandal.     < 1200 - William II de Brugge (William I de Scalebroc) of Little Haseley etc.  d. >1247.

Edmund le Boteler of Skelbrooke. d. 1330. In this year Henry de Armthorpe quit- claimed in Armthorpe.9     William III de Scalebroc until 1340's.

From the above chart it might be suggested that the un-named Scalebroc heiress of Skelbrooke lost or granted Skelbrooke to Hugh le Boteler while retaining her four Oxfordshire manors.
