* May be the same Robert Midgley of Thornedge who released lands near Winewall 5th October 1681.

Note that in 1665 the Great Plague broke out in England and spread rapidly.

31 January 1690-1691 release to Robert Midgley, yeoman of Winewall.

In 1711 John Hartley granted Robert Midgley of Winewall £60

Sarah Midgley b~ 1668 ch. St. Thomas Beckett, Heptonstall married 4th November 1693 at Heptonstall, Edward Hartley or Heartley of Marsden [Height] b. 16 May 1666, d. 14 June 1745.

Sarah Midgley of Winewall married by licence at Downham 3 April 1746 to Peter Hartley, yeoman of Barnoldswick.
i. A Sara Midgley was ch. 10th April 1661 at Heptonstall, her father being Samuelis.
ii  A Sarah born at Luddenden near Midgley, Yorkshire to Richard Midgley on 30 March 1665. (IGI C028796 )
iii. A Sara Mydgley was christened 17 February 1611 at Heptonstall
iv. A Sara Midgley was ch. 20 July 1617 father Johanis.
vi. A Sarah Midgley was born ~ 1624 at Heptonstall.

The Midgley's of Winewall may also have been  intermarried with the Hartleys [Harclays] of Winewall.

William Midgley, widower aged 21, married Mary Shackleton, spinster, 21 on 2nd June 1757. He recorded that he resided at Winewall, 'Whaley' (Whalley), Chester and Lancaster. Mary resided at Foxclough, 'Whaley', Lancashire. [Birth, Deaths and Christenings for England.]
